To put the principles of Level Praying Field into practice, here’s what we suggest:
- Meditate and/or pray daily. It’s hard in a busy life, we know. But you will feel so much better. You’ll actually find that you feel less busy, more centered and peaceful. Medical research shows that at least 20 minutes of meditation or prayer a day is the magic number when significant health benefits start accruing. But just setting aside 5 minutes a day works wonders, too. Start with a timeframe you can commit to regularly, and then work up from there.
- Return to reflect on this website, and if it raises questions in you, consider this.
- Learn to tolerate uncertainty.
- At least once a day, put down your tech gizmos long enough to make meaningful social connections and remember what it feels like to be human. Particularly at meals.
Move outside of your comfort zone. Do something different than your established pattern.- Recognize where you are in the process of human spiritual evolution and seek to apply the tasks of that stage.
- Don’t believe everything you think.
- Get your kindness in order. The Golden Rule is a real thing. If you treat people any differently than you, yourself, would like to be treated, you’ll create karma (i.e., problems later).
- Group with people who inspire you, support you, lovingly challenge you, and who tell the truth.
- If your inner voice is tugging at you, pay attention. That’s your higher power talking.
- Follow my blog and stay in a dialogue with me. I want to learn from you; I want to support you in any way I can.
- Trust yourself.
- Get over yourself.
- Most of all, using whatever name for God that you use, trust God, love God, ask God for help, and give great thanks to God every moment of every day. Seriously.
